Turkishceramics create the gateway to this years designjunction, featuring four-metre high vibrant ceramic tiled archways designed by Adam Nathaniel Furman.

One of the must-visit installations for this year's London Design Festival without a doubt had to be Turkishceramics' 'Gateways' located in the centre Granary Square during designjunction. Designed by Adam Nathaniel Furman, four ceramic tiled screens, each with its own unique style allowed visitors to walk underneath and through the gateways. With still pools of water each side, the colours and patterns were reflected, constantly changing the perception of the installation as members of the public walk around or through it.

The temporary installation highlights the contemporary ceramic tiles from Turkishceramics and the vast array of designs available. Each of the four arches tells a design story that shares a different style and time period in contrast to the next. The first arch displays the hand decorated artisanal style to showcase the more traditional aspect of design whilst the second arch takes a more eclectic approach with a contemporary take on the Herringbone pattern. The third transports visitors with the bold and funky hues of the 70's with the final arch showcases a modern take on classic Edwardian architectural design.
